Our File Renamer Tool is a powerful online utility that helps you batch rename multiple files quickly and efficiently. Whether you're organizing photos, documents, or any other files, this tool saves time with its real-time preview and multiple renaming functions.

1. Upload or Add Your Files

You can add files in three ways:

• Click the "Choose Files" button to select files from your computer
• Use the "Add Example Files" button to test with sample filenames
• Paste a list of filenames directly into the text area (one per line)

2. Apply Renaming Functions

The tool offers 10+ renaming functions that you can combine:

• Add Prefix/Suffix: Insert text at the beginning or end of filenames
• Find & Replace: Replace specific text within filenames
• Change Case: Convert to lowercase, UPPERCASE, or Title Case
• Add Numbering: Insert sequential numbers with custom start, step, and digit padding
• Text Operations: Remove spaces, trim whitespace, remove special characters
• Add Date: Append current date to filenames
• Transliterate: Convert accented characters to their basic equivalents

3. Preview Changes in Real-Time

As you adjust settings, the preview panel updates instantly showing both original and new filenames side-by-side. This ensures you get exactly the results you want before applying changes.

4. Finalize and Export

Once satisfied with your renamed files:

• Copy the new filenames to clipboard
• Download the list as a text file
• Use the "Apply & Prepare for Download" button to simulate batch renaming
